We stay abreast with the latest case count and more importantly, with the safety precautions as stipulated by the ministries – KKM and MOE. Although there are no requirement for students to wear face masks while in school, Heritage has made it compulsory. The teachers are all equipped with face masks and/or face shields as well, to be worn at all times when engaged in lessons.
As soon as they step through the doors, students (and staff) are greeted by the temperature gun held by our teachers/staff on duty. We request for anyone with a temperature higher than 37.5°C to exit the premises and seek medical attention. Temperature is taken twice more while in school. If they get a fever while in the premises, they will be sent to the sick bay and isolated until they can be picked up by their parents or legal guardians.
Sanitising is the new norm, and has now been included in the timetable for primary students. Students are frequently reminded to sanitise or wash their hands before meals and after using the lavatory. Social distancing is also strictly practiced, while learning and also during times of student interaction like break times, lunch and dismissal.
